Hike up Rio’s highest peak, Pico da Tijuca. Overlook the city from the 3353 ft peak, located in the middle of the Tijuca Forest. Begin your 2.5-hour round hike with your local guide by starting in the idyllic Bom Retiro district. Head to the Taunay Waterfall standing at an impressive 114 ft, inside Tijuca Forest National Park. Explore the lush trail to Pico da Tijuca, on a light hike. Stop to snap photos of the incredible rainforest filled with wildlife.
