We disembarked our cruise ship in Civitavechhia and took the port shuttle to their drop off point. A young fellow was waiting with a sign (Rome Shuttle) and checked us in on our electronic tickets. We waited in this seating area. The SIT bus arrived at 9am, outside the fenced area where we sat, which we could see from a distance. We made our way with our luggage to where the bus was waiting outside on the street. The bus did two drop offs one to Rome Termini and the other to Vatican. We got off at the Vatican Stop and I asked the driver if there was a taxi rank and he just pointed down the street. We struggled with our luggage on the uneven cobble stones for a couple of blocks and could not find a taxi rank. We ended up flagging one down. My advice to anyone is to have a pick up organised or you will need to call a taxi for your onward journey. Otherwise this was a great service and I would thoroughly recommend it. Easy and economical.

We had difficulty finding our way out of the port. Many people steered us in the wrong direction to get the Free Shuttle Bus out. And there was little information on exactly where to go. This made us very late to our bus. Luckily when we got there, 15 minutes late, the bus was still there. The driver was very nice and immediately loaded our bags. We climbed to the 2nd floor of the bus. The seats were comfortable and seemed new. Was one of the best bus experiences I've had in a while. Just wish it had been easier to find our way out of the port.

Very hard to find the actual collection point was pure luck but was there for 9.20 am had to wait until 10.00 am until it set off , We did not have any plans for the day so this was not an issue , but if you do be aware as this was supposed to be a 9’.30 departure. The coach was very nice and the driver helpful very relaxing transfer would recommend .
