After your hotel pick-up in Rome, head to Pompeii. Walk through the cobbled streets and listen as your guide explains the ancient Roman way of life and Roman history. Travelling further to the coast, take in beautiful views of natural landscapes before reaching Positano with its maze of narrow streets full of leather handcraft shops and fabulous pebble beaches, and then to Amalfi or back to Sorrento, depending on your preferences. The Church of Positano is characterized by a wonderful dome made with tiles of majolica. Here, you'll appreciate the narrow streets full of nice shops where you can buy, for example, leather sandals and dresses typical of Positano fashion or the famous limoncello. Or, after lunch, instead of positano, the tour continues driving along the coastline through breathtaking sights until you reach Amalfi, another UNESCO World Heritage site. In Amalfi, you can visit Saint Andrew’s cathedral (Amalfi Cathedral, Duomo di Amalfi) in Piazza Duomo at the top of a steep staircase consisting of 62 steps. Leave Amalfi Coast at about 17:00 and return to your hotel or apartment in Rome.
