Rovaniemi

Depart after 10:00 AM and visit Santa Claus in his main office in Lapland. Discover a place where it is Christmas all year round. Have a private meeting with Santa Claus, and then send greetings to all your friends from Santa's Post Office.  Also, the Arctic Circle cuts right through Santa Claus's Village. A white line denoting the Arctic Circle, at its position in 1865, is painted across the park. You will officially enter the Arctic area when you cross the line. The line is a very popular photo spot for all visitors. Cross the circle and get an Arctic Circle certificate. Have the opportunity to taste the traditional Christmas buffet with lunch at Santa's place.

Meet and mush with your new howling, furry friends on this safari adventure. Huskies are one of the most beloved animals of the North, and you’ll understand why as soon as you meet the pack. Pet them, pose with them for photos, and listen to stories about their lives.   Then, take a 5- to 10-kilometer long husky sled ride, where you get to be the musher yourself. This means you can control the pack of huskies towing the sled. The dogs absolutely love pulling loads and running on the trail across the forests. Feel the thrill of the ride and the cool wind on your face as you tear through the forests.   Finish off with a hot drink before saying goodbye to your new friends.

Then, you will depart the farm in a storybook wooden sled, wrapped up in warm blankets, for a short journey with the reindeer into the forest. To show all your friends back home, you’ll receive a certified reindeer sleigh driving license. After returning from your mystical ride, cuddle up in the cozy traditional Lappish hut while listening to the farmer as they share stories of the local history and culture. Taste some steaming beverages and cookies, the all-time favorite for locals to warm up in the winter time.

Meet your professional guide at your hotel lobby for the transfer to just outside of Rovaniemi in the Arctic forest. Embark on an unforgettable hiking and snowshoeing journey into the forest in the Arctic Circle, where you will pass through frozen rapids and follow amazing nature trails between waterfalls and woods. Wrap up warm to brave the snow and ice as you speed across to a reindeer farm. Meet the lovable animals on arrival and let them take you on an exciting sleigh ride. Listen to stories about each of the animals on the farm and learn the history and culture of the area. Warm up with some coffee and cookies before you feed the reindeer their favorite treats. Receive your International Reindeer Driver's License before you continue your Arctic expedition at a husky farm. Say hello to the friendly dogs and experience the life of a musher as you traverse the snowy landscape on a sled pulled by your new friends. Visit the world of snow and ice right at the heart of Santa Clause Village in Lapland, Finland. Enjoy the many outdoor snow activities offered here. Go ice skating, slide down the ice hill on a tube, or ride the Lappish sleigh-go-round. Visit the Ice Bar for some refreshments or head to the Ice Restaurant to enjoy a meal made from local ingredients. If conditions permit, you may even get to drive the sled yourself. The huskies will lead you to camp to enjoy a dish of hearty Lappish sausages and good company around a fire. Warm up with steaming beverages as you wait for the Northern Lights to appear. After you've had your fill of stargazing and dazzling light displays, your trusty huskie team and your guide will take you back to the hotel so you can rest up for tomorrow's adventures.
