Your special morning shuttle will depart from your hotel and head to Posio’s virgin forest area, 160 kilometers from Rovaniemi. Korouoma is a 1-million year old fracture valley in the bedrock, and at the center of the valley it forms a magnificent gorge that drops over 100 meters below its surrounding terrain. Thick snow accumulates in the trees of the forest making the forest appear completely dreamy and blurred. Amazing photos of the ice and snow can be taken absolutely everywhere. Professional guides will escort you into the forest. In the middle of your hike, your guide will make a bonfire for you and you can experience the traditional cuisine of the Arctic Circle. Korouoma is known for its magnificent frozen waterfalls that cover the tall cliffs in the winter. There are altogether 14 frozen waterfalls along the Korouoma hiking trail. Korouma is hands-down the best destination for ice climbing in Finland!

Meet your professional guide at your hotel lobby for the transfer to just outside of Rovaniemi in the Arctic forest. Embark on an unforgettable hiking and snowshoeing journey into the forest in the Arctic Circle, where you will pass through frozen rapids and follow amazing nature trails between waterfalls and woods. The short hike is is suitable for youngsters and families. There is a possibility of seeing some birds and wildlife. Also, a forest campfire BBQ will be provided with warm tea.

Following a pickup from your hotel in Rovaniemi, depart to Vikaköngäs at the southern end of the village of Vikajärvi a short distance from the city. At the Vaattunkivaara Nature Trail, part of the Arctic Circle Hiking Area, your professional guide will lead you to the most interesting natural sites in the area.  Feel the beauty of Lappish forests and lakes during a short walk of around 1-2km. During the hike, you’ll travel through natural forests and rocky gorges surrounded by beautiful lakes and rivers. Your guide will tell you more about the hiking area with its huge variety of long and short distance trails, located next to urban habitation.  Along the way, stop to enjoy a BBQ with blueberry juice and sausages in a traditional kota hut with stunning views of the Lappish nature all around. At the conclusion of your hike and BBQ, return to Rovaniemi for a drop-off back at your hotel.

Discover Korouoma, a 30km-long and 130m-deep canyon located south-east of Rovaniemi which offers breathtaking scenery all year round. In Winter, the waterfalls turn into fantastic ice formations that are well-known for ice-climbing.  First, get picked up by your guide from your accommodation in Rovaniemi and set off for the Korouoma Canyon nature reserve. Start the tour with a gentle hike through the park, admiring spectacular scenery including cliffs, rapids, and waterfalls. Keep your eyes for the array of rare species that call the area home. Snowshoes are optional but may be useful if you need more confidence when hiking down the canyon or just want to enjoy some deep snow walks. Then, have the chance to observe some of the most spectacular frozen waterfalls in Europe and enjoy the beauty of the snowy nature. Next, savor a typical Finnish lunch snack around an open-fire to keep you warm. Watch as your guide shows you their fire-making skills. At the end of the 6-hour excursion, return to Rovaniemi where you will be dropped off at your hotel by around 4 PM.

Take advantage of pickup from your accommodation where your professional guide will drive you 100 kilometers to Posio to begin your adventure. Korouoma Canyon is a millions-of-years-old fracture valley in Lapland, and one of the biggest natural attractions that Lapland has to offer. Marvel at the ice waterfalls which are unique in Finland and perfect for walking around and appreciating the magical nature around them. Experience deep snow and forest landscapes as you walk the trail. Look for the Korojoki River at the bottom of the canyon. Keep your eyes out for species like deer, wild rabbits, foxes, and golden eagles. Admire the ice falls along the Koronjää Trail, which leads you past three of the most beautiful frozen waterfalls of the Korouoma Canyon. Make use of any of the shelters with campfires in the area. Enjoy being served a campfire BBQ to maintain your warmth and energy during the day. At your tour's conclusion, you will be driven back to your accommodation in the Rovaniemi city center.

Enjoy the evening sunlight in a peaceful forest away from the noise of the city. Drive out of the city to reach a lake in the middle of the wilderness, where the sun does not set in summer.   Float in the middle of an arctic lake gazing up at the sky, listening to the birds singing, and experiencing nature from the water. You will be provided with a floating suit to stay warm and dry when on the lake.   Your guide will prepare hot drinks of coffee and tea on an open fire for you to enjoy after the floating experience. Together you will make a toast to the midnight sun, and head back to the city with a rested mind.

Benefit from pickup at your accommodation, and then relax on the scenic 1-hour and 20-minute drive into the Finnish Lapland wilderness. Stop to take souvenir photos and enjoy the stunning views along the way. Arrive at a well-maintained hiking trail in Korouoma National Park and brave the 4.5-kilometer hike along the canyon. Learn more about the native plants and flowers from your guide, and keep a look out for the resident reindeer, moose, and red fox. Arrive at a forest camp and enjoy some snacks around an open fire. Marvel at the natural beauty of a fracture valley formed hundreds of millions of years ago, and encounter 10-meter tall near vertical cliff walls. Get scenic views of the narrow Korojoki River as it meanders through the canyon.

Start your adventure with a meet and greet in your accomodation with your guide. From here you will be taken to the breathtaking terrain of the arctic forest where the day's activities will commence. Now it's time to lace up your snowshoes and begin your hike through the frozen wilderness of the forest.  Take a trip to a frozen lake where you will learn the art of ice fishing with a professional guide. The guide will teach you how to use the relevant fishing tools and how to make a hole in the ice - there are plenty of fish to catch in Lappish lakes! Take time out to enjoy a provided Salmon BBQ in addition to the fish you catch on the day.  Afterwards, you will be provided with survival floating suits and have the opportunity to take part in one of Lapland's most exciting experiences, ice floating. Finish your day with convenience as your guides take you back to your accomodation.

Lappish nature in the silence of the night offers a magical atmosphere like no other, and on this tour, you’ll experience it by hiking through the moonlit forests with snowshoes. After a 20-minute transfer out from the town and city lights, you’ll arrive in a wilderness area where it’s time to put on your snowshoes and follow your guide to the surrounding nature. Along the way, take a break to enjoy a warm snack and drinks by the campfire, while your guide shares knowledge about the Northern Lights. With favorable weather conditions and a pinch of luck, you may even get to witness this magical phenomenon with your own eyes - make sure to keep glancing at the night sky.
