2. Sacred Valley Tour: Ollantaytambo, Chinchero and Yucay

In the morning you will be picked up from your hotel in Cusco to visit the town of Chinchero, a traditional settlement with a beautiful view of the valley. The inhabitants of the area preserve the artisan traditions and the inherited knowledge of the Incas. You will learn about their traditions from your professional guide, and be able to visit archaeological remains and a beautiful seventeenth-century church. From Chinchero, you will be transferred to the Living Museum of Yucay, a centre for Andean tradition. Here you can watch demonstrations of textile work, adobe, pottery, and silverware be carried out the same way they were in the 13th Century. Transfer to Ollantaytambo where you have free time for lunch. Afterwards, you can visit the town and local archaeological site and climb the iconic fortress. *Visits on Sundays include a tour to the Chinchero market.

What people are saying about Sacred Valley

Good value pass.

Gives access to 16 sites, although not all of them are within a reasonable distance from Cusco (wish we had researched this more). Really good value though, they dropped the tickets off with out hotel because of a long delay on our flights and their office was closed on the day of our arrival. Great service.

Hi!!! I would have liked to find a little more archeological information at each site at the entrance .. IN MORAY there is a trailhead sign with a brief summary at least

Must have to enter the tourist attractions of the city of cusco. It does not include the Sal swimming pools, Cusco Cathedral or Koricancha Temple.
