Day 1: Arrival to Cusco Your experience will begin as you meet your guides, who will be waiting for you as you arrive to Cusco. From there you will be led to your hotel, before having a free day to acclimatize to the altitude and explore downtown. This day is very important, as it will serve for rest and acclimatization in the city. That evening you will spend the night at the Cusco Jungle Hotel. Day 2: Chinchero, Maras, Moray Your second day will begin with pickup from your hotel before you head towards the colorful town of Chinchero. There you will find Inca walls and a small colonial church which holds plenty of history. Continuing your visit, you will go to the famous circular cultivation terraces of Moray. You will then descend towards to Maras Salt Mines, a location which makes for perfect photo opportunities. You'll visit more than 3,000 salt pools in an area where salt was used by the Incas for their consumption. You'll finish by heading towards Ollantaytambo Station to take a train to Aguas Calientes. That evening, you will stay in the Golden Sunrise Hotel (or similar). Day 3: Machu Picchu Day 3 will begin with you waking up very early to take a bus from Aguas Calientes to Machu Picchu. Your guide will provide you with all the information on the site during a 2-hour guided tour during which you will learn about the historical sanctuary in all its splendor. You will later return to Aguas Calientes to have lunch, before taking a train back to Ollantaytambo, from where you will return to Cusco to be dropped off at your hotel. Day 4: Humantay Lake You will be picked up early from your hotel to travel to Mollepata, where you will have breakfast. You will then continue your journey to Soraypampa, your starting point for the walk. During the ascent, you will have the opportunity to observe the diverse flora and fauna that inhabit the area. You can observe some native birds of the area whilst enjoying the great views of the Andean landscape. Once you have arrived to the day's destination area, you can enjoy some snacks whilst delighting in the spectacular views of the Humantay Lagoon and its turquoise waters. You will later return to the city of Cusco to your accommodation at the Cusco Jungle Hotel. Day 5: Visit to Rainbow Mountain You will be picked up early from your hotel to head to Cusipata. Once there you'll take breakfast before continuing to the starting point of your trek. Once trekking you will observe the beautiful landscapes, alpacas, llamas, and Vicunas. You'll soon arrive to Rainbow Mountain, where you can explore the area and take the time to get good pictures of the beautiful blanket of colors. You will later return to Cusipata for lunch, before traveling back to Cusco. Day 6: Transfer to the Airport On your final day you will have the morning free so you can relax and visit the city. Later, and according to your flight schedule, your guide will take you to the airport for your departure.

2. From Cusco: 5-Day Journey of Colors to Machu Picchu

Day 1: Cusco After getting picked up from the airport or bus terminal in Cusco, get dropped off at the hotel and enjoy some free time to settle in. Afterward, enjoy a sightseeing tour of Cusco and get see Qoricancha and the archaeological sites of Saqsayhuaman, Qenqo, and Tambomachay.  Day 2: Sacred Valley Today, begin your adventure up the plains, stopping first at Chinchero, an important ancient site known as the birthplace of the rainbow. Visit the main site with its picturesque colonial church, as well as a visit to a local textile center. Continuing through the rolling hills, visit the enigmatic circular terraces of Moray where you will learn how these constructions served as an experimental agricultural center. Nearby, stop at the town of Maras to visit the ancient salt mines, used for thousands of years to supply salt to the Incas. In the afternoon, travel to Ollantaytambo and board the train to Aguas Calientes for your visit to Machu Picchu. Day 3: Machu Picchu Wake early to have breakfast and board the bus up to Machu Picchu, and watch the first rays of sun light up this magical mountain. Enjoy a 3-hour guided tour of the site before returning to Aguas Calientes for lunch and a rest before getting the train back to Ollantaytambo. Following your train journey, head back to Cusco and get dropped off back at the hotel. Day 4: Rainbow Mountain Rise early again for a light breakfast before your journey to Vinincunca, also known as the Mountain of Seven Colors. Along the way, appreciate the essence of the Andes, from its small agricultural communities and snow-capped peaks to the herds of alpacas and abundant vegetation. At the end of the road, begin your trek towards the high pass where you can observe the picturesque mountain of many colors. After lunch, spend some more time getting to know the area, the community, and its traditions before returning to Cusco. Day 5: Airport Transfer Say goodbye to your guide and get dropped off at the airport in time for your return flight.

3. From Cusco: Indigenous Potato Farm Cultural Experience

After pickup from your hotel in central Cusco, head straight into the wondrous landscapes and views of the Sacred Valley. After pausing for the vistas in the town of Pisaq, you’ll continue to the sustainable farm and village. Once you arrive, you’ll be greeted warmly by the villagers, who will give you a tour of the communal farm that they tend. Next on the agenda is a visit to the Kinsaqocha lagoon, where you’ll have an unmatched panorama of the Andes and the valleys below. Marvel at the tranquil vastness beneath you as you search the trees for local birds and wildlife. Afterwards, you’ll participate in a workshop about local medicinal plants and artisanal crafts unique to the region.  To cap things off, you’ll enjoy a hearty local meal, including stews made with the diverse selection of local potatoes.
