Unfortunately my friends and I missed the tour as we couldn’t find any taxi to drop us to the location from St Emilion. However, we decided to walk it took us about 30’ from St Emilion. Once we arrived we explained the situation and they offered us a glass of water and an extra glass of wine, while we were waiting for a group to finish their tour! Plus we had the wine tasting! Even our session was over! I recommend this place to anyone as it was one life experience! ☺️

We did the tour in English and got great insight into winemaking at two wineries - one more traditional and one modern. The lady who gave us the tour was really very friendly and competently answered all the questions that came up during the tour. The wine tasting at the end was of course a highlight and you could try to taste what was explained before (e.g. maturation in the new oak barrel) from the wines. For example, dark chocolate was also offered with the wine, which one could taste together with the wine in order to experience how the flavors complement each other. As we didn't have a car, we walked from the St Emilion train station to the château - a nice but somewhat long walk along through the beautiful wine landscape with its many wineries, but unfortunately along the gravel country road without a footpath. But that was the only drawback

I knew nothing about wine and after this experience, I was able to understand all the work put in place by its professionals. I even bought a book following this activity in order to deepen my knowledge. Thank you to the whole team for this good time and this sharing.
