Full description
Travel to the kingdom of fountains and see the most interesting things in the Lower and Upper parks of Peterhof. You will begin your tour at the main attraction of the Museum-Reserve, the Grand Cascade. It will undoubtedly amaze you with its grandeur and beautiful sculptures. Then you will go on a journey through the Lower Park. See the famous Chess Mountain cascade and see the Yolochki, Dubok, and Umbrella fountains. Stroll through the beautiful, vibrant Monplaisir Gardens and admire the view of the Gulf of Finland. Additionally, see the fountains of Adam and Eve and find out which historical figures they can symbolize. Don't miss the modest Marly Palace, located almost at the edge of the park, where you can enjoy peace and quiet. Your walk will end in the Upper Garden, where there are also several interesting fountains such as the Oak or Mezheumny fountains. Be impressed by the statue of Neptune as well. During your tour, you will not only see the beautiful park of fountains but also learn about their creation, symbolism, and fate after the Great Patriotic War. You will get to know the grandiose creation of Peter I better and learn about where the emperor took inspiration from for its creation.

The palace and gardens were beautiful but despite paying for foreign citizen tickets we were only offered Russian audio guides. There are places where it's not permitted to take photos but you're given out to in Russian as there are no English signs.Found myself shooed on a lot which was frustrating when trying to take photos. Almost a full day is required to really see everything. Upper garden at the time of our visit was under renovation but we were not informed before purchasing our tickets on Get your Guide.

Ordering tickets works very simply, for me the experience would be even better if the audioguide was in English.
