3. From Avignon Private Guided Bike Tour Around St Remy

Get picked up from your hotel in Avignon or the surrounding countryside (within 25 kilometers of Avignon) and transfer to Saint Rémy de Provence during a 30-minute drive, where you will be equipped with a high quality hybrid bike or e-bike, a helmet and a saddle bag. Your guided bike tour will take you through a picturesque countryside of olive groves, farmhouses and lone cypress trees, just as Van Gogh painted them during his stay in Saint Rémy. After passing sleepy villages, a short climb leads you up to the Monastery of Saint Michel de Frigolet, where you can choose to enjoy a picnic lunch with fantastic views of the plains (lunch not included). Return to the plains where you will pass a goat cheese farm, bull farm and an olive mill before returning to Saint Rémy. There is also a lovely Wednesday market that covers the entire center of the village. The riding is mostly flat around the countryside of Saint Rémy. If you would rather have a restaurant lunch, there are plenty of options along the cycling route (to be discussed with your guide, not included). The total ride is 45 kilometers and suitable for beginner riders. There is also the possibility of using e-bikes to make the riding easier (with a small supplement).
