From there, you’ll hop on a private, air-conditioned bus that will wind its way up into the narrow roads of the Amalfi Coast. Your first stop is Positano, a small fishing town that has long been the holiday destination of choice for VIPs, from the Romantic poets of the 19th century to today’s Hollywood stars. Along the way, you’ll enjoy spectacular views of the dramatic coastline as it rises out of the sea in soaring cliffs. At Amalfi, you’ll head up one of those cliffs to a lovely lemon orchard where you’ll enjoy a tasting of one of the region’s most beloved products, the sweet, tangy liqueur called limoncello. The farm is perched above the town and offers stunning views out to sea. After the tasting, you’ll have an hour to explore the town and, if you enjoyed your tasting, buy some limoncello. To end the day, you’ll hop back on the boat for a 40 minute cruise to Salerno where you’ll catch the train back to Rome.

Salerno: 2.5-Hour Private Walking Tour w/ a Local Guide

8. Salerno: 2.5-Hour Private Walking Tour w/ a Local Guide

A bit cold for swimming this time of year (April) out on the water due to wind, but the beaches are a bit warmer if it’s sunny, so you can leave your swimwear and towel behind if you want. Otherwise great boat and fantastic crew. Just an awesome way to see the Amalfi coast. Enjoyed every minute!

Take a leisurely look at the coast. Two 1h stops showing life on land and the different places. Prosecco, a delicious sandwich and drinks including limoncello on board are enough. Parking in Salerno right by the port was easy, €12 with a credit card.

It was an experience where we were able to get to know the Amalfi coast in a short time, and we made the most of it. It was an excellent experience as well as the guides.

Our tour guide Rosa and driver Carmela were great, very informative and lovely commentary during the drive.

Loved the tour, very friendly Rosanna and Carmela, nice restaurant and lovely Limoncello shop
