There were 2 of us and the guide in a comfortable VW bus. The guide told very enthusiastically and involved about his city. The excursion is especially nice to do at the beginning of the stay. That way you get a good insight into what there is to see and experience in the city. After that, you can then visit the things you want to see better at your own discretion. It was very relaxed. I found the visit to the Mozart House a disappointment. You will be dropped off there at the end of the tour. And you can then visit it yourself. The exhibition there I found disappointing and small.

If you have time to do only one tour in Salzburg then this one is quite suitable. The bus/van tour (8 pax) around Salzburg was quite informative to get a decent historical impression of the city. The visit to Mozart (Birth) House is optional in this tour but all 4 of us enjoyed this visit (incl. our 2 teenagers).

      The city tour was optimal

The city tour prepared me very well for my individual discovery walks through and around Salzburg. Many facts and data mentioned by the travel guide, especially about buildings, have led me to deal more intensely with the masterly buildings. After the city tour I had the feeling that I already know Salzburg very well.
