  • Salzburg: City and Country Full-Day Sightseeing Tour

    1. Salzburg: City and Country Full-Day Sightseeing Tour

Situated at the northern boundary of the Alps, the Baroque city of Salzburg boasts a glorious natural setting. On this 5.5-hour trip you will experience both city and country in a fusion of 2 popular tours, covering both the historic city center and the lakes and mountains that surround it. First you will experience the city that gave us Mozart and is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Starting from the early 17th-Century Palace of Mirabell, you will get a 90-minute tour that includes the Mozarteum (University of Music), one of the world’s most prestigious music academies, the Marionette Theatre, and Mozart’s Wohnhaus, where the composer lived for many years. Cross over the Salzach River, once a major transport route, to enjoy magnificent city views, before following the river along part of the old fortifications and past the Law Courts to Hellbrunn Palace. On the way back to the city ...

The tour guides, the driver, the group are all great! However there are 3 minor hiccups: 1. The meeting point confirmed in the confirmation was incorrect, I was sent to a different booth; 2. The starting time of the tour confirmed in the confirmation was incorrect, 15 minutes delay; 3. The first part of the exclusion was confirmed in English but at the end it was conducted in bilingual: English and German.

I was the only signed up for the tour so they couldn’t carry it out. They only told me when I turned up for it on that day. I was offered the ‘Sound of Music’ tour instead I accepted it though what I wanted was to see the lakes David, our guide on the Sound of Music’ tour is exceptional in his dedication and capability. He made the tour 5 STAR!

Perfect chance to see outside of the city centre. Stopped in amazing places with good photo opportunities, the perfect weather helped. The coffee and cake stop was a welcome alternative to the boat trip. The tour guide Lizabeth was brilliant, really informative and knowledgeable. Would highly recommend. Only confusion that the ticket said Gray Line tours, but was actually through Panorama. Good saving through this website. Poorly organised at the start getting people into minibuses but fine afterwards

Great trip!

It worked out excellently from start to finish. We were a tiny group of 4 and the driver, unfortunately I forgot the name, did a great job. He was very, very friendly and extremely competent. Whatever you asked him, whether about the "White Horse Inn", the Mozart family, Red Bull, where we passed, the meadows and alpine pastures, the lakes and restaurant recommendations - we found out everything and that's why we would like to visit this one Ways to say thank you again!

really a relaxing excursion with a personable, funny guide who has a lot of knowledge and passes this on in an exciting and funny way. Thank you, the nice Leopold for the nice afternoon .. (the steirer)

Don’t miss a visit!

Such a beautiful and surprisingly serene lake! Be sure to spend time wandering in the tiny villages where the boat stops and have a nice meal.
