Alcatraz is a must see. Do it!

We enjoyed the Alcatraz tour. Do the audio tour. What a great experience and I was the one in the group that wasn’t excited about going to Alcatraz. It is a must see for sure. The city tour with Dustin was great. He did a wonderful job showing us around with interesting details of SF. He has a great sense of humor as well.

Awesome Alcatraz, okay city tour

Alcatraz was an awesome experience. We really enjoyed it. The transfer to and from the ferry worked fine, but you'll be on your own at Alcatraz. The time is enough to do the audio tour but not much else. Afterwards we did the city tour (getting to the bus also was no issue). The first part of the tour was great (Palace of Fine Arts, Golden Gate, etc.). But at some point it was just "oh there a house" or "here, a mural". It got dark and late and everyone was rather tired. Would have preferred to cut the city tour for 1h to be honest. Still probably one of the best methods to get an overview of San Francisco.

We chose the Alcatraz island tour and the whole family was amazed by it, I recommend it to everyone. Our 2nd tour of the day was the sights and tour of San Francisco by minibus. We were lucky as our driver, Victor was brilliant! His knowledge of the area and his running commentary was second to none. He was entertaining, funny, and very obliging! Everyone should have Victor as their driver for this tour! Well done Victor as you made my family’s day so enjoyable.
