This trip did exactly what it promised and was an efficient way to see two interesting sites. The guide was knowledgeable, took care to run of time and always made sure she wasn’t leaving anyone behind. Plenty of bathroom stops. Obviously you can’t see every nook and cranny but a good overview. With all that being said, the tour was in English & Spanish and if I’d known that we were the only English speakers, I probably wouldn’t have booked. It felt awkward. We’ve done several other tours during this trip and the interaction with the other group members has been fun and a highlight of each event. Not so on this tour. Nobody made eye contact, somebody scolded me for something (walking incorrectly?) and it detracted from the overall event. We actually do speak enough Spanish yo get by so we were aware that a lot of info was missing when the presentation was repeated in English. But other than those soft dynamics, it was a good way to hitch a ride to two interesting places.

It would be difficult to visit these two sites by public transit, and not worth it to rent a car for a day. As a result this is a very convenient and efficient way to get to them. The disadvantage, as always, is that you are on someone else's schedule and may not have the time to explore that you might like. On the whole we were happy to have chosen this tour.

Absolutely, Great!! These 2 historical sites., paired… of “The Valley of the Fallen, is very impressive. it’s history is unbelievable and the Escorial Aqueducts system is a true site of the Roman Empire. Too top that off.. Our Guide “Cristina”was AMAZING, super informative and very well educated on the history of the kings, and their heirs history.. she made all the information flow and fun. we walked away with tons of information. Loved the tour highly recommend it.. it was worth the time. And they stick to their schedules, very reliable and punctual. We loved our guide “Cristina” ty for a great day. Barbara Ortiz
