Once there, you’ll meet a professional chef who will teach you how to make four standout dishes of Basque cuisine. For the next three hours, you'll be making some of the Basque Country’s most famous dishes, including potato omelet, codfish in pil pil sauce, a mouthwatering steak with red piquillo peppers, and the iconic burnt cheesecake. As the chef walks you through the techniques involved in creating each dish, your guide will share the stories and cultural significance behind the recipes, making each bite even more memorable. Of course, you’ll also have time to enjoy the dishes you’ve prepared. Each will be paired with a specially chosen drink: Basque cider (which you'll learn to pour), red and white wine, and ice apple cider (a special fermented beverage made with the natural juices of frozen apples). When it's time to leave, take home copies of the recipes so you can prepare these traditional Basque dishes in your own kitchen.

Explore the main sites as well as some hidden gems often missed by visitors. Learn about Basque history, culture, and traditions while picking out the best seasonal products at a local market. Once the shopping is complete, walk to the private cooking area where the class will take place. Learn the main elements of a Basque meal and how to prepare them according to local tradition. At the end of the course, sit down to enjoy your culinary creation with a glass of local Basque wine.

This tour will include a nice walking tour in the morning, showing you and buying seasonal products in the local market gathering with local people. You will be shown how to cook the products after the walk while drinking txakoli, a white local wine, Rioja red wine or cider. Have an exclusive and unique chance to feel the experience of being in a private cooking club where locals gather. Taste some typical fresh Basque and seasonal food and also learn how to cook it too.  The main rule of the cooking club following the history of why those clubs were founded, was that only the men were allowed to cook and to access the kitchen, and the women were only able to watch, be served and of course, to enjoy the experience but not to work.
