From Ajaccio/Porticcio:Ajaccio & Sanguinaires Gulf Boat Tour
- Duration options: 2.5 - 3 hours
On this 3-hour boat tour you’ll take in sights along the north shore of Ajaccio, including the Tino Rossi house, the Greek chapel, the Marin cemetery and the Citadel. Soon you’ll come across the Parata tower and the Sanguinaires islands, a Natura 2000 site. During the tour you’ll enjoy commentary about Ajaccio Bay and the history of the city. Stop at Mezumare, the largest island in the Sanguinaires archipelago, accessible only by boat. The island is home to a number of rare animal species. Enjoy a 1-hour stopover for a swim, or for a walk to the Alphonse Daudet lighthouse and semaphore. You'll also see the ruins of the Lazaretto, used by coral fishermen, in quarantine after returning from Africa.
Beautiful scenery and thoroughly enjoyed the time to walk on the Sanguinaires. However, whilst the tour is clearly promoted as guided in French, it also mentions booklets in at least two other languages. There were no booklets so if you don’t understand French, the only way to learn about the area is to research it yourself.
Enjoy a 360-degree view of the Imperial Town with an open top bus. Depart from the Square Foch, drive along the De Gaulle Square with the statue of Napoleon with his four brothers. Then cruise along Austerlitz Square and see the Casone monument dedicated to Napoleon I. Continue your discovery along the coastal road of the Sanguinaires to enjoy the beautiful sights over Ajaccio bay. Arrive at the Parata point for a 20-30 minute stop and appreciate the exceptional panorama over the archipelago.
Great tour. The driver told us the English version was not as good as the French. But it was great. Driver was excellent. Timing excellent

We left as a couple and we had great encounters! The staff are very friendly, there is atmosphere, music with a guide on the history of Ajaccio. However, there were quite a few of us on the boat so it was difficult to keep our distance. At the buffet level, the sommeliers were very professional and generous. Charcuterie, cheese, Corsican products and cakes were served on plates with very generous portions! The wine is excellent. The whole crew were great.
In a warm and friendly atmosphere, an excellent walk to fully enjoy a sunset over the Sanguinaires Islands. A staff at the height and Corsican singers endowed with a fabulous talent and happy to put a relaxed atmosphere on these first excursions after confinement. Thanks to this great team
We had a great time! I highly recommend this activity. The sunset was magnificent, the tasting very good and a crazy atmosphere thanks to the musicians! Do not miss you will spend an unforgettable evening!
