Due to the high altitudes, be prepared for the probability of clouds and strong winds at the summit. We pick up at the indicated hotel and we will make the ascent to the volcano of Santa Ana or Ilamatepec; Ascent route 1 hour 30 minutes approximately, it is recommended to wear comfortable clothes, shoes or boots. We hike, we visualize the landscape, Izalco volcano and Coatepeque lake in the background, we enjoy the sulfur lagoon at the bottom of the volcano crater, an ice cream on top of the volcano and we return to the starting point. After that we take lunch on Coatepeque lake and enjoy the beautiful and cold water.
