On this full-day sailing cruise into the “Galapagos of North America” you will have the economy yacht Wiley to yourself, for just you and up to 3 of your family and friends. You tell us when to go, when to return and exactly what you'd like to have lunch! If you are a sailor, you may like to take the helm. If you are not, you might want lessons; there will be no extra charge, as the Captain just loves to teach. In either case get ready to enjoy an eco-adventure that will take you back to a time before Europeans set foot in California. We sail from Channel Islands Harbor, usually leaving about 10:00, but it's your call. It's about 13 nautical miles to Frenchy's Cove, which is one of our favorite lunching spots. It usually takes a bit more than 2 hours to get to Frenchy's, depending on the wind. We will drop the hook at Frenchy's or in Cathedral Cove to set up for a lunch of gourmet deli treats and vintage wines. After lunch, you will cruise the north coast of the island, stopping at Arch Rock for some souvenir pictures. Look out for the endemic wildlife and see if you can spot dolphin, or whales breaching. Look up to see eagles, soaring over ahead. Feel the whoosh of the waves and listen to the whistle of the wind.
