  • Florence: Chianti Wineries Tour with Food and Wine Tasting

    1. Florence: Chianti Wineries Tour with Food and Wine Tasting

After meeting your guide and boarding the coach, drive to the Chianti region. On the way to the first winery, your guide will share interesting facts and curiosities about landmarks along the route. Arrive at the first “cantina” of the day, where you will be welcomed by the winemakers. After listening to a brief introduction about the winery’s history and the types of wine made there, join a guided tour of the facilities and nearby vineyards. Learn all about the winemaking process, the materials used to make the barrels, and what it takes to be classified as a “Chianti Classico”. Then, begin your first wine tasting of about 5 wines. You will hear an explanation of each of the wines that you sample, as well as some tips on how to savor the wine and understand its qualities. The wines will be accompanied by local snacks produced in the region, such as cheese, bread, olive oil, and salum...

I really enjoyed the tour! Both wineries were good, but I especially loved the second one. We tasted some quality wines and tried some delicious cheeses, olive oils. I learned many things about how wine is made and how to properly taste it! Our Gide Kostantino was great and funny. He gave us information about the city and tips on where to eat or drink. I recommend this tour :)

Very good! Would have given this tour a 5 stars if they were able to pick up passengers at the port vs having to catch the port shuttle for 5 euros pp each way out to the city to join the bus tour. On the way to Florence there was an accident on the highway and we were at a standstill for close to an hour. Tuscany bus tour still gave us 3 hours to explore Florence (still not enough time) than we headed to Pisa. Since the tour was running late returning to town they took us directly to the cruise port which was really nice.

David was an excellent host and guide. Very personable and friendly. He met us at the train station and we had pleasant conversations all the way to the park where he told us about life in Pisa and the day to day goings on. Once in the park, he was extremely knowledgeable about every monument in the park and the surrounding areas including the Jewish Cemetery. He showed us little known parts of the park and even engaged my kids. He also gave us great recommendations for local food. Highly recommended. Only problematic part of the whole tour is arrival at the Pisa San Rossore station. The station used to be much bigger and its not very busy so finding the actual meeting spot took a few minutes.

Fully loaded day! Do note, this is a tour is in a large group (~30 people), but this caused no problem - easy to hear guide, great to meet like minded people too. Emmanuel and Mano were our guides for the day - entertaining, insightful and very helpful. Highly recommend having the meal (~15 euro each), some of the best food we had. The views all along the hike are stunning - you can go at your own pace, there’s no rush, so we do recommend this A fantastic (busy) day, and a memory we will treasure

It was a very long day but so worth every minute. We were able to see so much in one day yet did not feel rushed at all. Alessandro and Chris made the day, best tour guides ever! We liked our first trip with them so much, we sought them out for second day of touring.

I would recommend this tour to everyone. Such a great experience and value for money. Brilliantly lead by our Tour guides Manolo. Don’t think twice, trust me, it will be worth your time.

Manolo and Gabrial were amazing . They gave good recommendations too. I am a vegetarian and did not find any issues with food too. Quite informative trip.
