Enjoy the first stop of the tour at Santorini Caldera and learn all about the details of its formation. Then, continue through the scenic countryside to the village of Oia, the most photographed location in Santorini. Explore the village of Imerovigli, situated on a higher cliff with an incredible view. Make a short stop in Firostefani to see the famous Blue Dome Church, the subject of so many Santorini postcards. Explore the peak of Prophet Ilias, the island’s highest mountain, standing 2,000 feet above sea level. Discover the village of Megalochori or Pyrgos and chose one of them. Take an optional stop at Akrotiri Archaeological Site if you want to explore the excavations. Start the day with a traditional Greek coffee after meeting with a local food guide in the square of Firostefani village (next to Fira). Walk towards Fira on a footpath on the caldera's edge with sea and volcano views. A glass of local beer is the perfect welcome to the capital of Santorini. Taste some rare wines in the Argyros estate or Art-space winery and learn more about the island's wine-making traditions. Visit the traditional village of Pyrgos or Megalochori and stroll the narrow paths to the ruins of a Venetian castle. Head to Black Beach and get recommendations on where to enjoy lunch, or get dropped off in Fira town.

After a convenient pickup from your hotel, take a relaxing drive with your guide to the Prophet Elias chapel located on the top of a hill. Admire the spectacularly orange sun sinking below the horizon. When night falls, light your torch and embark on a 2-hour hike towards Fira. Use some parts of the world famous Fira-Oia hiking trail, which during the day can get very crowded. In the evening, you will find that nearly nobody is around so you can enjoy the privilege to experience the scenery without any obstructions. As you hike along the trail, enjoy stops at a variety of viewpoints that let you marvel at the thousands of lights which illuminate Santorini by night, and the still very visible volcano to the right. When you reach Fira, be welcomed at Assyrtico Restaurant for a well-deserved relaxing evening. Start by tasting 4 unique Santorinian wines, including the world famous “Vinsanto”. You will get transfered from your hotel to the starting point of the hike, near the church of the Dormition of Holy Mary, located outside the traditional village of Akrotiri at the Southwest part of Santorini. The trail, offering incomparable views to both sides of the island – in and out of the formation of the caldera - also passes through old vineyards and deserted chapels that give you the feeling that you are walking through the past of Thira. After arriving on the beach of Mesa Pigadia, you go swimming as the beach transfer arranged for you, leads you to a traditional local chef who is willing to reveal all the good, hidden treasures of Greek cooking.
