You will be picked up by private car or minivan and taken to the archeological site. Akrotiri is a fantastically preserved prehistoric city that remained buried under volcanic material for almost 4000 years! You will have the chance to walk around the preserved buildings and see details such as doors, windows, stairs, and paved streets. You will then be taken to the little port of Vlihada by car or minivan, where the motorboat will be waiting. Together with the experienced captain and crew, you will have the chance to explore the unique volcanic beaches of the island, sail around the caldera and the volcano and have lunch in a traditional taverna in the nearby island of Thirasia, right across Santorini. The tour ends at the port and you will then be taken back to the meeting point.
