Full description
Begin your tour with a visit to Pyrgos which was built in the 15th-century when it became occupied by Venetians. Find out how the town is home to one of the island’s best-preserved castle ruins. Then, enjoy a 1-hour stop to explore the excavations at the bronze age city of Akrotiri. This archeological wonder is one of the most important sites in the region and the very first settlement on Santorini.  After this, head over to Vlichada Beach known for its very distinctive white volcanic cliffs sculpted beautifully by the sea winds. Then, drive along the Perivolos Black Sand Beach before going to the village of Megalochori. This settlement dates back to the 17th-century and played a role in the export of the famous wine from the island of Vinsanto.  Finally, enjoy traditional Greek dishes for lunch paired with local wines from one of the finest wineries in Santorini. Learn about the wines and pairings from an expert sommelier. After lunch, make a final stop in the village of Oia to explore and take in the exquisite cliffside views.

I'm not one to normally go out of my way to write a review but I just thoroughly enjoyed this tour with Lefteris as our driver/guide, he and the tour were both fantastic! From the moment he picked us up we felt like we were just hanging out with a friend, a very lucky friend that happens to live in Santorini of course! We felt like we got a great overview of the entire island without missing any of the highlights and Lefteris gave us lots of invaluable insider tips and insights that we were able to use during the rest of our stay, which was incredibly helpful and really makes taking his tour extremely worthwhile and a great value. We truly felt like locals during our entire stay because we were so well informed by Lefteris, and the advice and suggestions he offered us were totally spot on. We can’t recommend taking a tour with Blue Shades of Greece highly enough, so be like a local and book this tour!

The best tour i ever had. Was looking for a tour that could see as much as possible on the island, a small combination of everuthing, but not the touristic stuff and in a small group of people. Im so glad i booked this tour, saw almost the 90%, visited some small local villages, saw the beaches and the wine tasting with lunch was amazing. The pairing of the wines with food was beyond my expectations. Our guide was Lefty, a very friendly and fun guy, had great knowledge of the island and the history of it, even did the presentation of the wines at the winery. If the is one thing you would like to do on the island, its definately this tour. Would recomment it 100%. Thanks for everything.

We were lucky enough to be out with our guide as a couple and had an entertaining, informative and varied tour. We saw many hotspots and our personal highlight was the integrated wine tasting with a wonderful view over the caldera and great food.
