From Bali: Swim with Manta Rays in Nusa Penida

1. From Bali: Swim with Manta Rays in Nusa Penida

Head for the island of Nusa Penida and embark on a snorkeling adventure. Take advantage of 3 different stops to swim with Manta Rays, enjoy lunch on the beach, then spend the afternoon exploring the mangrove forest. Benefit from pick-up at your hotel in selected areas of Bali, and then journey to Nusa Penida, located 20 kilometers off the southeast coast. The largest of Bali's 3 sister islands (Nusa Lembongan, Nusa Penida and Nusa Ceningan), Nusa Penida is much less developed and remains home to abundant and pristine nature. Marvel at the dramatic landscape and steep cliffs along the coast as you make your way to some of the island's best snorkel sites. Upon arrival at the protected bay of Manta Bay, discover an ocean rich with plankton that attracts beautiful reef manta rays that can sometimes measure up to an impressive 4 or 5 meters in wing span. Go to 3 of the best snorkel sites of the island, including popular spots (depending on conditions) such Crystal Bay, Toyapakeh and Gamat Bay. As the strong swells of the Indian Ocean can impact conditions, the situation will be carefully monitored to take you to where it is safe to swim with the rays less than 1.5 meters from the surface of the sea. If conditions are not suitable, your snorkeling itinerary will be adjusted accordingly, as your safety is always the number one priority. Following your magical snorkeling adventure, break for a delicious beach side lunch at Paradise Beach on Nusa Lembongan. The lunch is served as an Indonesian food buffet. Then, get the chance to explore the mangrove forest in the afternoon by kayak, stand-up paddle board or private gondola.

East Bali: Snorkeling, Canyoning, and Waterfall Day Trip

2. East Bali: Snorkeling, Canyoning, and Waterfall Day Trip

Head out to Bali’s east coast for idyllic scenery and gorgeous beaches, with fewer crowds than other parts of the island. After pick-up, you’ll continue to Tanjung Jepun and Blue Lagoon for snorkeling sessions with an expert instructor. Glide above the vibrant coral reefs and keep an eye out for reef sharks, sea turtles, lion fish, and squid. The next stop is Tegenungan Waterfall, a short distance from Ubud. Get up close to the waterfall, swim in the water below it, and cool off from the tropical sunshine before continuing on to the hidden canyon in Sukawati. Finally, you’ll reach the Beji Guwang Hidden Canyon. The stone walls here were formed by river erosion over thousands of years, leaving beautiful patterns. Trek along the river before taking the chance to jump into the water. Rest up after your full-day adventure as you’re transported back to your accommodation.

From Bali: Snorkeling Day Trip to Nusa Lembongan

3. From Bali: Snorkeling Day Trip to Nusa Lembongan

Following pick-up from your accommodation in Bali, journey across the water to the islands of Nusa Lembongan and Nusa Penida to experience some of the most diverse coral reefs on the planet. Meet a snorkeling guide who will help you with all necessary equipment, such as masks, fins and a life jacket. Flotation devices can be provided for people not comfortable in the water so that everyone can discover the pristine corals and enjoy the warm waters that are home to schools of brightly colored fish. Look for resident emperor angelfish, parrot fish, moray eels, turtles and - in certain areas - manta rays. The specially designated snorkeling areas make for a safe and enjoyable activity for all ages. Visit sites such as Crystal Bay, Manta Bay and Gamat Bay, famous for its sprawling coral garden and light currents. The exact snorkel spots visited will depend on the conditions. In good weather, you will go to Manta Point and Crystal Bay, while if there's a big swell you will visit Gamat Bay.  In addition, feast on a delicious beachside lunch and take a mangrove tour by kayak to experience the scenery from a different perspective..

Kintamani: Sunrise Yoga, Meditation, Earth & Water Rituals

4. Kintamani: Sunrise Yoga, Meditation, Earth & Water Rituals

Experience the magic of Bali with a morning spiritual experience. Enjoy the convenience of being picked up from accommodations in Ubud, Kintamani, Kuta, Seminyak, Canggu, Jimbaran, Nusa Dua, Candi Dasa, Kerobokan, or Sanur. Drive to Kintamani near Mount Batur.  The elements of earth, wind, fire, air, and spirit come together in this area, creating an aura of healing. Meet your guide, an experienced Balinese priestess. Take a nourishing walk through the stunning woodlands near Mt. Abang which surround a volcanic crater basin. Reconnect with your inner peace during yoga and meditation. Take a part in an earth ritual in which you will give back to mother nature and create a compassionate relationship with the environment. Afterward, enjoy a healthy breakfast as you take in a gorgeous view of Mount Batur. End your journey with a water cleansing ceremony at one of Tampaksiring’s ancient temples. This cleansing ritual is performed in order to purify your body mind and soul. Connect with your emotions and intuition through the element of water. Gain a deeper understanding of Bali and yourself.

What people are saying about Sanur

10/10 trip, 10/10 tour guide, Edi. Everyone we worked with was so accommodating and made sure we were enjoying ourselves. At one point, Edi threw in an extra stop on the tour just for an added Balinese experience. His stories and friendliness were unmatched and the tours themselves… stunning. The hidden canyon is one of the best experiences of our lives, although you should be mobile individuals (climbing, swimming, jumping). Highly highly recommend this day tour, can’t say enough.

Amazing day with Edi as a guide! Snorkling was great, we were lucky enough to see a few sea turtles and countless other species. After the waterfall, Edi brought us to an amazing place to have lunch in the middle of the rice fields. Finally, we went to the hidden canyon. Great experience but expect a lot of difficulty for non-sporty people! Amazing as a whole!

I had an amazing day with Edi! He drove me around to the most famous spots on the island. I got to go snorkeling, check out a beautiful waterfall, trekked through canyons and ate lunch in the rice fields! Can’t thank Edi enough for making it such a wonderful experience!

It was a fantastic trip. The guides were super sweet and very professional. Everything was planned to the letter, and everything was in order, which meant that you could enjoy the experiences even more. I would definitely recommend this trip!

We see manta swimming free, the guide friendly and we love the hospitality
