Full description

Start with pickup from Sarajevo and be introduced to your guide for the day. Sit comfortably in your seat and enjoy the views of the surrounding countryside.

Head to Mostar, enjoying the view on Jablanicko lake, and amazing nature. Head to Jablanica to see a piece of history where you see a ruined old train bridge which is a witness of the Battle of the Neretva, also known as the Battle for the Wounded.

Mostar awaits with its warm climate, unique beauty, and amazing history. Your guide will take you to the Old Town where you can see the famous Old Bridge.

Hear the legends and stories about this amazing example of Ottoman architecture from the 16th century. You will also get an opportunity to see a short video in a local gallery about the bridge's destruction in 1993.

After this tour through Mostar, your guide will suggest you have lunch either in Mostar’s local restaurants or go to Blagaj. The beautiful Blagaj is a small village built at the source of the crystal clear river Buna. It flows out of the 200m high mountain cliffs that overlook the area.

The authentic 16th-century Ottoman town and open-air museum of Počitelj is next. Its amazing architecture and location will surely excite you.

Finally, begin the journey back to Sarajevo. Stop at the breathtaking Kravica Falls for a swim in the crystal-clear waters before getting dropped off at your hotel.

It was a brilliant day! We started at 8am & returned to the hotel at 7.30. Very much enjoyed visiting all of the sites - beautiful Mostar, the falls, the unusual monastery at Blagja & particularly charmed by Pocitelj. But without doubt the best part was having the hugely knowledgeable, lovely Amer to talk to about history, politics, culture, sport. We felt very informed, inspired & upbeat about the day, which was, without doubt, the highlight of our visit to Sarajevo. Thank you Amer!

This was an excellent full day tour that really let us explore the beauty, culture and history of Mostar and the surrounding areas. My guide was Adnan who did a really good job of keeping us entertained and engaged with the tour. Just be aware you need to purchase a ticket to go inside the Dervish House in Blagaj (10KM/€5) and to see the waterfalls (20KM/€10) and this is not included in the price of your tour. Even though it is off season we still had a really great time.

This was a really great tour and Kenan was fantastic in explaining what we were seeing and the context as well as being incredibly enthusiastic about his country, its background and its nature. That enthusiasm was really outstanding and made the day particularly special. We really enjoyed the opportunity to see numerous different areas and to enjoy a broader experience of Bosnia than just Sarajevo (which is also fantastic).
