From Las Vegas: Grand Canyon South Rim with Snacks & Lunch

1. From Las Vegas: Grand Canyon South Rim with Snacks & Lunch

Escape the city for a day with a trip to the Grand Canyon National Park from fabulous Las Vegas, with transfers, snacks, lunch, and free time at the South Rim included.  After your Las Vegas pickup, enjoy some light breakfast snacks and you are also welcome to bring your coffee or tea in a container with a lid. Sit back and relax as you travel along Route 66. Enter into the Grand Canyon National Park with your first stop at Mather Point for approximately 45 minutes. Then the driver will collect all interested guests and transfer them to Bright Angel, the Visitor Center, for approximately 2 hours.  The hardier travelers will want to take the opportunity to walk the approximate 2.5-mile trail along the ridge of the Canyon and enjoy the ever-changing, breathtaking views. Once your time at the South Rim has come to an end, you will board your luxury bus for a smooth ride back to Las Vegas.  Along the way, stop for lunch at a local family diner in Arizona. You will then be dropped off at the location of your original pickup to enjoy the rest of your Las Vegas vacation.

Excellent tour if you want to do the Grand Canyon in one day. It’s a long trip (16h journey) and you have to leave early so be prepared. The guide Katie and the driver Michael were amazing!! Katie went through all the instructions, safety rules and timings. You also learn some history about Las Vegas and route 66! My pick up time was at 5:30am at the Bally’s hotel. You can pre order your breakfast and I went for the continental option which is a yogurt and a tasty muffin. For lunch you get a good sized sandwich and a pack of crisps. You can also order some diner on the way back. We stopped near Seligman (route 66) for a break and a gift shop. I didn’t take the option for the guided tour as I wanted to hike on my own and it was absolutely fine. It takes between 2 and 3 hours from Mather point to Bright angel depending on if you spend time taking photos! On a overall, long trip but worth it! I went during January so it was cold but sunny so absolutely fine!

Layla was a great tour guide! The trip is a long day, much of which is on the bus, but she made sure we were comfortable, had water and snacks, kept us up-to-date on schedules and necessary information, came around to make sure everyone who wanted meals or tours was signed up, and shared interesting information about the areas we passed. I really enjoyed spending the day with her, and was glad to see her on another tour I took! It is a LONG day on the bus (our trip was about 14 hours, and it can be longer depending on traffic), but if you want to see the iconic Grand Canyon and some of the beautiful southwest USA along the way, this is a good way to do it in comfort.

The tour was very well organized and the guide was very helpful and nice. Included in the price was a breakfast and a snack and water. Personally, I would rather do the tour on my own, since the route is very far from Las Vegas and there is very little time on site.

A very nice experience. The trip is a bit long because it is far away but the views and the place are certainly worth it. It was also snowy and it was beautiful.

Long day but I thoroughly enjoyed the tour. Katy was excellent and provided amazing info and history of the grand canyon! Highly recommend
