It's a World Heritage Site teeming with wildlife and is home to lions, leopards, elephants, cheetahs, buffalos, zebras, wildebeest, eland, wild dogs, gazelles, crocodiles, and many birds, including Eurasia migrant birds. Have dinner and stay overnight in a tent at the Serengeti Wild Camp. Day 2: Full Day at Serengeti After breakfast, you will go on wide-ranging morning and afternoon game drives in Serengeti National Park. Your guide will locate the flocks of migrant birds and the herds. Spot carnivores like big cats and hyenas. See the annual migration of wildebeest and zebra in action. Learn about the park as you drive and see why the Maasai gave the park the name Serengeti, which means “endless plains”. Break for lunch and dinner at the campsite and spend one more night at Serengeti Seronera Campsite. Explore Southern Serengeti during the Calving Season! The Calving Season is one of the highlights of the yearly Great Migration and takes place between January and March. During this time as much as 8.000 wildebeest calves can be born each day! Your safari adventure will start in Arusha, where you will spend the first night in Africa Safari Arusha. The following morning, well rested after enjoying your breakfast, your driver guide will be ready to drive you to Tarangire National Park, a fun and easy park to explore. Wildlife is abundant and exposed due to the park’s more compact and open terrain making it easier to see wildlife both up close and from a distance. The park is only a short 2 hour drive from Arusha and in close proximity to Lake Manyara. It is 2850 square kilometers making it the sixth-largest park in Tanzania and offering the highest concentration of wildlife outside the Serengeti. Tarangire is known for its large herds of elephants, which can be viewed at close range. Other animals likely to be seen throughout Tarangire are; wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, gazelle, warthog, impala, python, lion, leopard and over 50 species of birds. Buffalo's, elephants, giraffes, lions, hippos and hyenas are also frequently sighted throughout the Serengeti. In the evening your guide will slowly drive you back to Lake Ndutu, where you will spend another night in Africa Safari South Serengeti. On the last day, you will enjoy another game drive in the Serengeti National Park while driving to the airstrip of Seronera. From here you will fly back to Arusha.
