What people are saying about Sete Cidades

Filipo our guide was fantastic. Due to a misunderstanding, we thought our quad tour started in the afternoon, instead of in the morning. Filipo called us to ask why we didn’t attend our appointment. After the explanation he did everything to make sure we still could come, so an hour later than planned we arrived at the startingpoint and started the tour. My father was a bit scared of driving the quad. In the end Filip took over the quad, so my father could drive his buggy, so we still could do the activity with the whole family. It was a great experience, driving over dirt roads through the fields, amidst the flowers and bushes. We made a few stops on viewing points, where he explained things about the highlights and we could ask him a lot about the island, vegetation and how it is to live on the azores. He wasn’ t rushed, although we left later than planned. The highlights for me were the old aquaduct, sete cidades and the elephant trunk/ path along the atlantic coast.

We enjoyed our tour to see Sete Cidades. The countryside is beautiful on the way to the lakes. Due to an iffy weather forecast we were contacted about joining another tour one day earlier. We were able to make the change and appreciate the effort to help us have a good experience. We recommend booking this excursion early in your trip so there's time to adjust for bad weather. I had jacket with a hood which was helpful when the weather got windy and chilly as we gained altitude. We experienced almost all four seasons and a little drizzle on our ride but it was fun. Come prepared for rain and chill, there's room for your backpack on the lead vehicle. Sete Cidades was a bit overcast but we could still see the lakes, and driving around the crater rim is awesome. My husband and I each had our own Quad because I wanted to drive as well. Have fun!

THIS IS THE TOUR YOU MUST CHOOSE. Not only do you get amazing views, but get the liberating and fun opportunity to ride a quad through them. The instructor is amazing, he provides historical knowledge and makes you feel very comfortable. Whether it’s your first time or you ride quad often, you will love this event.

Our experience with Philip gave us the chance to see a lot while feeling some adrenaline. This guide was friendly and seem to enjoy showing us around. He explained clearly how to use the equipment before we started!

This tour was AWESOME, it’s a must do, lots of beautiful things to see
