This hiking route through the Cahorros de Monachil is one of the most beautiful and easiest to practice a few kilometers from the city of Granada. We will meet at the established time in the Plaza del Professor Fontboté. Once the introductions have been made, we will get into the van and leave Granada behind to head for the Sierra Nevada National Park, where we will begin the activity, it is a 20-minute trip. This 6.5-kilometer hiking trail is perfect for most people as it does not require much physical ability. Los Cahorros is a highly appreciated route among hikers, who have found a natural paradise in this area. In most of the towns of the Sierra Nevada National Park, some hiking experience is required. Monachil is one of the routes that, due to its great beauty and easy trail, is ideal for doing it with the family, which has earned it a prominent place. It is a path where hanging bridges are crossed and little by little you discover what this special route hides, as well as its incredible views, waterfalls, and tunnels. This path will take you through some of the most spectacular landscapes in Andalusia. Important information: To follow this path skill and agility are necessary since there are narrow sections and places where we have to walk crouched. It is recommended that you come with a backpack to transport your objects and your water since during the walk it is essential to have your hands free. In the summer months: July and August, the activity will start early at 8:30 am. due to the heat and for our safety.

Leaving from the city of Granada at 09:00 or meeting point in Hoya de la Mora, Sierra Nevada at 10:00 where we start the trekking tour, in winter we will use snowshoes and poles to enjoy the snow and ice and in summer only walking sticks, enjoying the views of the fertile plain of Granada, the summit of Mulhacen and the Veleta and on clear days views of the Mediterranean Sea, upon reaching the summit of the Veleta at 3,396 meters above sea level, we will enjoy a well-deserved rest with a picnic lunch and prepare for the descent. You will meet in Granada city near the football stadium (metro stop) and drive down the valley for 45 minutes to the coast. After a quick safety briefing and a welcome glass of cava, the boat will from Marina del Este. From the comfort of the catamaran you will be able to see Almunecar, La Herradura, Cerro Gordo, Punta de La Mona, The Natural Park, Cantarrrijan as well as a number of historical watch towers dotted along this coastline, and get a great view of the Sierra Nevada mountains, all from the unique perspective of looking at them from out at sea. After an hour to an hour and a half sailing along the beautiful coastline, the boat will settle in a beautiful secluded spot (there are so many along this coastline!) to drop the anchor for a swim or a snorkel (masks and snorkels provided). While you enjoy the ocean, the crew will be rustling up a delicious buffet lunch with something for everyone, and a variety of dietary requirements catered for. After lunch, the boat will start to head back towards the marina, and hopefully spot some dolphins on the way. The catamaran, a Lagoon 380, is very spacious, stable, and safe, and boasts a great trampoline at the front of the boat between the hulls which the dolphins just love to swim underneath, giving the perfect view of these wonderful creatures completely in their natural habitat. And, all drinks on board (cava, beer, wines, soft drinks, water) are included too! A totally unique experience, and one which you will NEVER forget. At 6pm the crew will drive you back to the centre of Granada, arriving at 7pm.

Great hike made even better by the diverse and very interesting group. A few sections require holding onto grips to get past rocks, also a little crawling. Wonderful views. We felt very safe with our guides. Highly recommend.
