The meeting point is in front of the souvenir shops on the Largo del Colonnato. Our guide Frederica was really nice and knowledgeable. She has a sparkling and fun personality and tailored the tour according to our wishes. Her language skills are excellent. Of course the basilica itself is marvelous and climbing the dome of the St Peter’s was spectacular. The view inside (by lift) is breathtaking. We climbed 304 steps further to enjoy a 360 degree view of the city. We are no sporty people, but found it pretty doable in 5 minutes. I would recommend going up.

The tour guide Fabio was very personable, and you soon notice how much he enjoys doing his job. Fabio answered every question, I can only recommend this tour guide. Fabio made the tour very interesting, even my son (13 years old) who hadn't felt like it before found it very interesting. The tour is highly recommended, but you should have a head for heights, the altitude is not for everyone, but the view is terrific. The tour begins with queuing, Fabio uses the time well to explain things, but is sold as a pass ticket in the description. (All tour operators have to queue.) The time for the tour is not 1 hour. but you should 2-3 hours. for everything, because you can still enjoy the view at the end of the tour. My conclusion book a tour and hope that Fabio will be caught.
