Paulo was amazing! He is a Sintra local with deep historical knowledge and you can feel his passion when he speaks. We were blessed to have sun for most of the day despite the forecast being rainy which made the day all the more special. Having Juan along for the ride added to the fun!

We had fun on the tour and it was overall a good tour. We went to Quinta first, which we liked and is what we were looking for. Pena Palace was our last stop and it was so crowded we didn’t really enjoy it (but not the fault of the tour, we went during one of the busiest travel seasons). We did love that we went to a uncrowded location at Cabo da Roça. We had a lovely lunch at a local spot along the way to the coast. The tours were friendly and great drivers. We appreciated this because it was much easier than finding your own way around Sintra! The only thing we didn’t love was the port tasting at the end felt rushed and unnecessary. We felt unwelcome at the port tasting and like the guy was annoyed we were there.

Thanks to our guide Paulo for the great day! He loves his job and it shows!! He was enthusiastic from start to finish and taught us a lot about the history of Portugal. As for activities: The palaces are magnificent, but the best was yet to come. The non-touristy viewpoint at The End of The World was worth the trip. I also loved the wine tasting at the end of the tour where I tasted the best Ginja of my entire trip and a local Pastel de Mata liqueur. In short, a wonderful day!!
