After being picked up from your accommodation we drive to Boca da Inferno. Explore this amazing coastal feature and get your first unobstructed view of the sun setting in the West. Afterwards we derive along the coast towards Guincho beach and opportunity to explore the Cresmina Dunes. Walk through the dunes, feel the sand beneath your feet as you continue to be amazed at the stunning sunset and the views of ocean and hills. Explore Guincho beach before continuing to awe-inspiring views from Cabo da Roca and the shimmering sea and coastline. We continue North, with the sun is sight, towards Praia das Macas, passing a distant view of Pena Palace before reaching Azenhas do Mar. Admire the beautiful white and red houses of this coastal village. Then it is time to choose your quiet location, from those we have visited, to spend time together with a bottle of pink sparkling wine and fruit/canapes watching the sun disappear over the horizon. Two hours before sunset (please check sunset time), you will be picked up by car at Sintra's train station. On your way to where this evening walk will start you'll be able to see in the distance Sintra's Castle, Pena Palace, and the forest gradually beginning to surround you. Once you have  arrived in the western part of Sintra's Mountains, your walk will begin. The walk will be about 5 kilometers, spanning around 4 hours, on regular and soft irregular terrain. The effort implied is equivalent to spending a whole afternoon strolling around Sintra, with its various ups and downs. You'll travel under the black arc of the night sky, dotted with a thousand stars, to discover a hidden past that's almost impossible to imagine.
