From Barcelona: Vineyard Wine Tasting and Sitges Town Tour

Meet at a bar right in the heart of Barcelona's Gothic Quarter, before heading out into wine country in the beautiful local mountains. Here you will experience a two-hour tour of a family-run vineyard. See how and where the grapes are grown, and the winemaking process. Then go to the local bodega and enjoy a few sample glasses for yourself. After, you will head back down the picturesque mountains to the coast. Along the coastline is the world-famous town of Sitges. Once you have disembarked from the bus, you will have a few hours free time to either tour the town, go to the local museums or simply sit by the sea and enjoy a tapas lunch. There is no better way to enjoy the majesty of Barcelona's surrounding wine region.
Start the tour outside the train station of Sitges where you will meet your expert local guide. Pass by the several "Indiano" houses built in a Modernist style. Learn more about their beautiful architecture and history from your guide. At the end of the "Indiano" promenade of Passeig Marítim, reach the town center and enter the most historic area of Sitges. See Església de Bartomeu i Santa Tecla, a centuries-old Baroque-style church overlooking the Balearic Sea. Stop outside the Cau Ferrat Museum which was once home to writer Santiago Rusiñol. Learn more about the life and work of one of the most important figures of the Modernisme movement in Catalonia. Continue to the nearby Maricel Palace and learn more about its history and vast collection of artwork. Finish the tour by the beautiful beach of Platja de Sant Sebastià.
