Krabi: Tiger Temple, Hot Springs & Crystal Pool Jungle Tour

2. Krabi: Tiger Temple, Hot Springs & Crystal Pool Jungle Tour

Explore the Krabi jungle and its highlights on this half-day tour with a convenient hotel transfer. Start your journey with the Sra Morakot or Emerald Pool. Walk along the rainforest trail and cool off the heat of Krabi with a swim in this freshwater pool inside the Khao Phra Bang Khram Nature Reserve. Its green hue is a result of an abundance of minerals from the surrounding limestone hills. Next, visit Krabi's natural hot spring and its hot stream waterfall, Klong Thom Waterfall, located in the jungle 40km south of Krabi Town.  Though the falls itself is just a cascade tumbling gently a few meters, it is unique in that the spring water that feeds it bubbles up from the earth at a temperature of 40° Celsius. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before heading to Wat Tahm Suea, also known as the Tiger Cave Temple. Venture 1,200 steps up the hill for views of Krabi and its limestone rock formations.

Fall asleep in the nice cool breeze and listen to the calming sounds of the waterfall. Return to your hotel with your fully charged self for the rest of the day.

Krabi: Private Trip to Tiger Cave Temple & Waterfall

4. Krabi: Private Trip to Tiger Cave Temple & Waterfall

Visit 3 main attractions of the Krabi jungle on this private day trip. You can visit Wat Tahm Suea (the Tiger Cave Temple), Sra Morakot (the Emerald Pool), and the natural hot spring. Firstly, you can explore the Tiger Cave Temple, aptly named because of the rock outgrowth nearby resembling a tiger’s claw. The temple is known as a meditation center and its spectacular setting in the Ao Luk Thanu mountain range provides the necessary quiet atmosphere perfect for meditation. Venture 1,200 steps to the hill top for the view of Krabi and its limestone rock formations. Discover and swim in the Emerald Pool/Crystal Lagoon, a freshwater pool inside the Khao Phra Bang Khram Nature Reserve. The waters of this 120-square-meter pond take on a green hue, thanks to an abundance of minerals from the surrounding limestone hills. On the final stage of your tour, you will visit the Krabi Hot Spring, located in the jungle 40 kilometers south of Krabi Town within the Klong Thom Waterfall. Though the waterfall itself is just a cascade tumbling gently all but a few meters, it is unique in that the spring water that feeds it bubbles up from the earth at temperature of more than 50 degrees celsius. It cools a bit as it flows to the cascade and you can swim in the calm stream below for a much cooler bath. At the conclusion of your tour, you will be returned to your Krabi accommodation.

Ko Lanta: Emerald Pool and Hot Springs Day Trip

6. Ko Lanta: Emerald Pool and Hot Springs Day Trip

Begin your day with pickup at around 8 AM from your resort, then head first to the Emerald Pool, a unique attraction on the main island of Krabi situated in the middle of a lush lowland forest rich in bio-diversity. The source of the groundwater flows through the limestone layer and settles, therefore making it look emerald green. Upon arrival, walk along the natural jungle path and admire the peaceful environment before jumping into the Emerald Pool. Have fun playing in the water, then replenish your energy with a set lunch featuring a range of Thai dishes at a local restaurant at midday. After lunch, visit the Hot Spring waterfall and spend time relaxing in the mineral-rich water. Therapeutic and soothing, the hot springs are natural ‘hot tubs’ crafted into smooth rock channeling water from deep-rooted thermal springs located in volcanic chambers. Enjoy the comfortably warm water temperature, which ranges from 40-50 degrees Celsius (104-122 degrees Fahrenheit). The mineral salts in the water are claimed to cure a range of illnesses such as rheumatism and sciatica. These jungle baths also feed into a cool stream which is perfect to cool off in after. At 3 PM, transfer back to your hotel on Ko Lanta Yai.

It is quite a climb up to the Tigercave temple, but well worth all the effort. Emerald Pool is a beautiful nature park, very beautiful to have seen. Hot Springs is very special that you are in a waterfall that is at body temperature. The driver drove everywhere smoothly, but spoke very limited English, which is sometimes difficult.

Fantastic. our guide 'Api' was very kind and did not explain everything we asked him. Before starting the excursion they check the weather and depending on the rain you go to a place sooner or later. for the Cueva del Tigre women have. to go covered, men do not. We will repeat for sure

Our guide was lovely, he told us the history of each place we visited and gave us lots of information. I struggled to climb the stairs ag tiger temple quickly like the rest of the group so he waited with me and encouraged me!
