What people are saying about Special Region of Yogyakarta

Tour Amazing worthwhile 4 day tour Pros: All activities are a must in Java - all guides were knowledgeable, good English, considerate which was great & reassuring as I was a solo female traveller. Bromo was an absolute highlight - breath taking Ijen was incredible - face masks provided & an absolute must! Sunrise at Borobudur was disappointing but only due to the weather Accommodation in Yogyakarta was nice. Cons: There is a lot of driving between locations which is tiring but the only way to see all of these locations in the timeframe. Very early starts (2am) which is fine if you’re a morning person Accommodation at Bromo - below average best location for view of Bromo & the early start. Driver: My driver for the whole trip was called Anang. He was polite, accommodating & considerate noting that I was happy to try local food he stopped along the routes to try new foods. He also helped arrange local taxis when I returned to Bali. Good English - highly recommend!

We can only recommend the tour! We were also lucky enough to have Anang as our guide. He really cares about everything and helps where he can. We spent the first night at Lava View Lodge on Mt Bromo. The view was really great, the room was quite worn, but you're only there for 1 night. In the morning we went at about 3 a.m. with a jeep to see the sunrise. Simply worth seeing. It was quite chilly, so warm clothing is recommended. After sunrise we went to the crater. You also have a great view from there. Then we went to the Hotel am Ijen, this was just great, it's a pity that you only sleep for what feels like 3 hours & have to check out in the middle of the night. The ascent & descent into the crater is really challenging. After that you will be rewarded with a beautiful landscape! It was a tiring 3 days with very little sleep but well worth it.

This was a very interesting and exciting tour with everything you want in a day. Anang, who was a very gentle, friendly and funny guy, picked us up in the morning and gave us our own guide in the temple. Also showed us the most beautiful waterfall and even took a swim with us. After this he also took so much photo’s of us in the national park. We can’t thank him enough. Also we can’t recommend this enough to everyone who wants to have a day full of learning and fun.

impeccable organization, the pick-up took place directly at the hotel in yogya and everything went smoothly until the arrival at the port of ketapang. The volcanoes offer breathtaking landscapes, just a little too touristy. the experience was really made perfect thanks to our driver, Bagus, professional and friendly, he made us live local experiences (we stopped in a Durian Farm to taste the strange fruit).

Thank you Bagus!! Simona&Federico
