Full description
A scenic route takes you through picturesque villages of Bosnia and Herzegovina as you approach Počitelj. This small medieval town was built on a rocky cliff on the Neretva River and gives a great overview of the Ottoman Empire. Take a short ride to Mostar – a city from the past. Explore the city with a local guide, find yourself bedazzled at the sight of the famous Stari Most (Old Bridge), connecting two medieval towers, giving the city a widely recognizable visual identity. See young locals showing off their daredevil stunts. Cross the bridge to check out the Ottoman quarter, attractively restored after the War in the nineties. Check out the old Bazar, the Mosque and, after the walking tour, explore the city on your own. This city will inspire you with its oriental structured streets and buildings, friendly people, tasty food, and very distinctive coffee culture, which might remind you of Turkey. Sit back and relax on one of the terraces, try out traditional food or explore the immense line of souvenir shops to bring back home some unique oriental souvenirs. The ride back to Split leads you through the rocky landscapes of Herzegovina, to the amazing natural wonder of Kravica Waterfall, where you can enjoy the amazing views, and perhaps even jump into the refreshing waters of the river to cool down. After arriving in Split or Trogir you will be dropped off at the same place where you were picked up in the morning.

The trip to Mostar was a delight, as the historic city is beautiful, photogenic and provides a colorful change of landscape and culture, compared to Croatia, from the mosques, to the burek pastry and the Turkish coffee, served in cute little cups. In the morning a first stop was mode in Pocitelj, the first opportunity for a short hike, beautiful photos, and an enjoyable coffee break. The next stop was Mostar, where the temperature was really hot compared to Split. The local guide, Ana Maria, was really good at providing interesting and concise information about the history (old and new) of the place, as well as practical tips, and thus covering the introduction that should have been done by the Croatian guide (otherwise a funny guy), presumably. Border crossing was rather time consuming. On the way back to Split, a refreshing stop is made at Kravica waterfall. While the water is too cold for swimming, the scenery is lush and makes one forget about the hike back :-).

Excellent excursion !!! No complaints. Hassle-free pickup from central Split. Do not forget the European passports / identity cards to be able to access Bosnia and Herzegovina. First stop in a small village with an Ottoman church to visit in the heights then departure for Mostar accompanied by our local guide AnaMaria who was just exceptional, with perfect English and who taught us a large part of the history of the country thanks to her !!!! Then 3 hours of free time in Mostar which was enough to visit everything. They accept euros and Croatian kunas in almost all shops. Finally departure for the Kravice waterfalls where we had a little less than 1h30 free but it was good to visit and bathe in the cool water. No problem getting the bus back after each stop. We highly recommend, thanks again !!

Tour was really great! Driver end our guide there answered to all our questions and atmosphere in the van was great! In Mostar we had a really nice guide who dived us deeper into Mostar history and also gave some great suggestions about restaurants ( we had to wait a bit, but food was amazing!). Great day trip from Split! And the waterfall - wow! Most beautiful place I’ve swam!
