Admire the colorful waterfalls, tall trees, and sounds of nature as you pass over wooden trails and bridges. Begin your sightseeing journey from lower lakes and take it easy as you move to the upper lakes. We booked this based on the description as a ‘non guided tour’ - when we arrived, it turned out there was a guide for the full day. Initially we were disappointed as we had wanted to explore the park ourselves, but it in actual fact this was a real bonus!! The national park is very large, so it was very useful to have someone who knew all of the different areas, especially when time is so short on a one day trip from Split. Our guide, Petra, was really knowledgeable about the park, and took us on a route which meant we avoided all of the queues too - maximising our time to see everything there was to see. We would definitely recommend this trip!

Transfer was great. Tour guide Elena took over the tour right away and so we had a guided tour through the park. (although only Transfair was booked). There is a discount of 50 kuna per entry ticket. Value for money is really unbeatable. Everyone has to form their own picture of the park to see whether the entrance fee is justified. The bus ride takes 3 hours there and four back because there is a stop to eat. It's a long drive from Split, but definitely more relaxed than by car. You should be able to speak English, with German you can only get on in the last restaurant. Finally, a tip, definitely sturdy shoes. At least sneakers.

Very nice park! That's wonderful ! I recommend !!! However for the journey we find ourselves with other groups with different requests (stop of 1 hour on the way back to a restaurant so 1 hour lost at the lakes…). There was also a guide (in English) commenting on the bus ride as well as the tour with the whole bus (however we had the choice to follow him or not). The journey is a bit long but it is compensated by the landscapes as well as by the beauty of the Plitvice Lakes
