We had the pleasure of Ella being our guide. She was knowledgable and obvioulsy loves her job; her enthusiasm for the history of St Andrews truly made the tour interesting. She was happy to answer questions and pause a little longer at some spots until the appropriate facts were covered and questions answered.St Andrews isn't the largest town in the world, so the tour is relatively compact, but definitely worth taking. It would be far too easy to walk around the three main streets and not fully appreciate the story behind the most obvious of buildings and to miss so many other points of interest that once seen are obvious, but wouldn't have been without our guide. Definitely recommended.
The guide was very good, knew her subject very well and answer most of the questions that were put to her. The weather helped as it was mild & dry Went to some places that we wouldn’t of found if by ourselves. It was also a manageable size group which also helped.
A really good tour. You learn about the golf origins as well as the beautiful town and it’s fascinating history. Our guide Richard was engaging, spoke clearly and answered all questions we had. Would thoroughly recommend!
Nice walk with lots of interesting facts and unknown stories about St. Andrews and it‘s history. It was a pleasure to listen to James.
Learned that there was more to St Andrews than just golf. Came home to read up on the History of Scotland
