Launch your clear kayaks directly into the 1,800-acre Shell Key nature preserve. You will paddle 4 miles on this 2-1/2 to 3 hour tour, through the hidden mangrove tunnels and narrow estuary channels. Stop on Shell Key Island, where everyone gets to step out, stretch their legs, and collect unique shells. Many of the shells have living creatures inside, like hermit crabs and snails. Then climb back aboard and begin paddling back to your launch point.
