Full description
Discover the world-famous Nevsky Prospect, lined with the marble palaces of former Russian royalty as well as the city's most fashionable boutiques and art salons arranged in old 18th-century building façades. Admire the beautiful streets and impressive classical and Renaissance cathedrals. Then, enjoy an excellent photo opportunity with a stunning panorama along the Neva's embankments. By the city's Rostral Columns you will have a view of the 5 buildings of the State Hermitage Museum, the Admiralty, and St. Isaac's Cathedral. From here, you will visit the most splendid architectural masterpieces in Saint Petersburg: the Fine Arts Square, the magnificent Church of Resurrection on Spilled Blood, the Field of Mars, the Alexanderinsky Drama Theater, Smolny Cathedral, the Classical Senate building, the Bronze Horseman, and much more. Enjoy the beauty of the third largest square in the world - the Palace Square, home to the Winter Palace and the Alexander Column. During this tour, you will also visit the Peter and Paul Fortress, the oldest construction in Saint Petersburg. The Peter and Paul Fortress was originally created to protect the city, but was eventually used as a political prison. The Peter and Paul Cathedral is a unique example of Russian 18th-century architecture that has remained intact. For almost two centuries, it served as a burial-place for Russian emperors. The last Russian tsar - Nicholas II - and his family were buried in the cathedral's small St. Catherine chapel in 1998.

Our guide was at the hotel lobby five minutes before the appointed time. We were allocated a comfortable and clean car. Both the driver and the guide were very friendly. In fact they gave us their umbrellas when it started raining. The guide spoke excellent English and knew the city well. She showed all the important locations and helped with the pictures also. A very comfortable and nice way to see the city.

I am walking around the city very broad and valid, perhaps a little too fast. Convenient the van that took us around. Unfortunately, the guides speak very little and badly Italian and very little English, so explain them to us very roughly.
