Cruise excursion was sold out, so I booked a later seating through Getyourguide, which was 1/2 the price, though the cruise line’s did include the cab rides to/from the Puerto Maya pier. (International Pier is probably walkable.) We were the only 2 people in the 11 a.m. seating, but they honored the reservation, so we had a private experience. Such fun! Wendy greeted us with a chocolate martini; gave the history of chocolate; we ground cocoa beans and made our own, and then sampled lots of chocolate and Mexican wine. (Total time about 2 hours.) We have spent lots of time in Cozumel before, so this was something different to do. FYI: they also offer a piñata making class for kids. Stingray Beach Club is very clean, workers super helpful. We got there early and had a drink by the water and watched people snorkel with the stingrays. (We’ve done that in Cayman, but this seemed like a great option for families with younger kids.) Nive place right on the water. Fun time!

It was an amazing experience, starting with a drink. The introduction of the origin of chocolate was really interesting. After the introduction it was time to start making our own chocolate with the great help of our guide. The last part of the day was combining wine and chocolate. It was really interesting.

It was an all-round successful trip, our guide Louis, perhaps you could choose a smaller locality typical of the country while eating. LG k.und r.Nitsch
