Our Guests typically leave transformed by our efforts in providing authentic, warm Experiences that touch the heart. From the moment that Guests arrive their welcome is communicated. Dates and milk accompany an orientation to the Experience, followed by a word from the Owner. Then it's aprons on! Cooking of our Tagines involves step-by-step cooking guidance and stories from the life of the Experience Leader as well as support on the practical side from our Experience Assistants. Once the Tagines are simmering on their stoves, we move to bread-making from scratch. Stories and fun here, too. From the Bread Experience it's on to our beloved Tea Ceremony and a cup of tea few will forget! Herbs accompany the mint and green tea, complementing both the humor and depth that surround the significant "rhythm" of Moroccan life. Completing the Tagine involves steps involved toward a visual presentation that appear in photograph after photograph (if you don't bring your phone or camera, no worries - our Team takes photos of every stage of the Experience). Naturally things conclude with a Dining Experience with your Experience Leader and Assistants enlivening conversation and sharing. The enjoyment of the dish, too, involves its own surprises in terms of sumptuousness! All around an Experience that consistently ranks among the best in the Mediterranean basin!

2. Chaouen: 4- Hour Moroccan Cooking Class

Dive into the local culture and discover the rich mix of Berber, Arabic, Andalusian, and Mediterranean influence in the national cuisine. A local chef will present you with various choices of meals to prepare including tagine, fish Bastille, harcha (bread made from semolina), and Arabic pastries.  The day begins with hotel pickup from Chefchaouen. Once at the local home, get to know all the specialty ingredients in Moroccan cooking and chat with the host about Moroccan culture and customs. You are welcome to ask as much as you like – your local host will be happy to help you discover the culinary traditions.  Learn about the proper presentation of gourmet plates and then sit down to enjoy your homemade meal. Finish off with a typical Moroccan tea and collect your Certificate of Completion for the class.
