Top. We were contacted the day before to be picked up and the pick up was very easy at our AirBnb. We went to Etna in barely 3 hours from Palermo with a break for lunch. Visit of Etna (we paid 58€/pers to go up to the top) in 2 hours. We took the van back to go to Taormina, a very pretty town with a very nice view. We had 2 hours free for lunch and sightseeing. Then return to Palermo at 6.45/7 p.m. I really recommend and we had a very friendly driver who told us lots of history about Sicily and its surroundings.

The visit of Etna is an experience: it seems to land on another planet! I really recommend to buy the 2 hours tour which gets you up to 3000 metres. Unfortunately it was a windy day so the cable car had to stop for a couple hour, we were really late on the travel plan and couldn't visit Taormina. I must say that, despite this inconvenience, the tour was worth it even just for Etna volcano! The guide Joshua shared with us some curiosities on our way to Etna.

It was a nice tour. The drive was a bit long (3 hours each way) but very pleasant and you could observe the beautiful landscape of Sicily. Etna and Taormina each had 2 hours to explore the place. All in all well organized, our tour guide was very nice and told us a lot about Sicily and gave us some tips for Palermo.

Really good trip with a fantastic driver, Josh. Definitely worth doing if you are in Palermo and have a daybtonsoare. Etna is simply magnificent.

Make sure your departure from Palermo is lead by Joshua and he is your driver.
