My husband and I had a great time hiking with our small group. Nicola was a very informative guide and great teacher - we learned a lot about the terrain and unique characteristics of the volcanic landscape. Our tour didn’t go near the top of the volcano, but to an area of previous volcano activity. This tour company provided trekking shoes, hiking poles and jackets (though at 21 degrees C we didn’t need the jackets). The sandwiches were ok, and I especially enjoyed the complimentary regional almond wine and cookie. Additionally, the pickup and drop-off near our Taormina hotel was convenient and punctual. Very fun!

The whole trip was pleasant and fun. Rosario ( Saro) our tour guide was highly knowledgeable and engaging. The walk was not demanding, just quite hot, so bottle up, and keep topping on sunscreen. It would have been fun to continue exploring and to stay longer. Afterwards, we had some wine and sandwiches, more food would have been appreciated. One of the best tour guides I have ever met, and I think overall Saro's passion and knowledge made the trip.
