We wanted this trip but sadly we couldn't book it in English. After a call with Giselle from the helpdesk she helped us wonderfully. She told is she will help us if thats possible and that she would call to the guides to see if she could arrange something. After 5 mins she called us back and It seemed something was wrong with the system and she could hold our spots for some time. We had to book the tour in italian and she would make sure that it will be changed to English. The next day we had a wonderful trip to the Etna with a really nice guide who knows what he does in English! Thanks to Giselle from Get Your Guide we could do this trip! Thanks for all the help!

We went on the sunset tour with Joseph, who was great! He’s very passionate as you can tell from his explanations and discussion of the mountain. We were picked up on time and before heading to the mountain we went to a small village near Etna to try some local olive oil, wine and honey. To be honest, if you’re into wine this will not impress and I didn’t really care for the olive oil either, both were “meh”. The honey however was interesting to learn about and tasty. Onwards to a lava cave, followed by craters. Joseph explained everything and gave us protective gear, jackets etc as needed. He did an awesome job walking us through Etna and finishing up at the summit of our hike around 2,200 meters. On the way down he took us to a park where we could see more of the eruption happening and see the smoke trails (and lava as it got dark). Overall a really nice experience for the average person wanting to see mount Etna and learn some of its features, history and mythology.
