Be aware that you spend most of the time in the bus, which can be quite tiring. It took us 10 hours to get to Petra forma Tel Aviv. You’ll have a couple of hours to walk around the archeological site and that’s enough to see quickly most things but not everything so this tour is nice if you only have one day in your agenda. Petra is wonderful, you won’t regret. Our tour guide was also very knowledgeable and friendly.

We were unlucky because of protests in Jordan that meant we needed a police escort and only had a total of two hours at the site. The guide was helpful and informative, but the trip was quite exhausting. The rest stops are not well stocked, it is a good idea to pack at least a solid snack. It is better to buy smaller souvenirs at the site itself--the formal gift shop is very nice but expensive even with "bargaining".
