Full description
Explore the very best of Tenerife on a full-day excursion that takes you on a guided tour around the island’s perimeter. First you’ll head up the west coast to the very top of the island, to Los Gigantes (giant cliffs), where you’ll take in the majestic views. Next on your itinerary will be Icod de Los Vinos, home of the enormous Dragon Tree, which is Tenerife’s most famous attraction. Puerto de La Cruz or El Puerto, as its known locally, is the next stop where your guide will recommend a restaurant for lunch (not included in the tour price). After lunch you will have some free time to discover this city that overlooks the ocean and is surrounded by fields, banana plantations and vineyards and, off course, always under the watchful eye of El Teide. Your tour around the island ends with a visit to the Basílica in Candelaria, best known for its Black Madonna. In the main square by the ocean you’ll see statues of the Guanche Menceyes, the first inhabitants of the Canaries. There will be photos stops throughout your full-day tour.

Just got back from the Tenerife full day island tour.....it was great! A 19 seater came to pick us up and initially we thought, OK, it will take us to a larger coach, not the case! A Mercedes mini bus took 15 of us on a very personal tour from the south to the north of Tenerife and other places in between. Started at 8.30 and got back to the hotel at 5.20, what a bargain for 36 Euros each! The guide Christopher and driver Jose did an amazing job and I'm always in awe of those who can speak multiple languages. Wasn't a big fan of the stop off for "breakfast" it was a bit of a money maker, COME ON charging you to pee, hold it in to the next stop ;) Hey if we didn't stop, I do question if they would still be there (do check your receipt and what you thought you were paying compared to what you were charged!). Not going to go into all the details of the tour as I'm going down for food, but take it from someone who likes value for money, this was!

Very nice experience. Excursion masterfully organized by the super guide Christophe. Humor, benevolence, very good advice. Placed us at his side as soon as we entered the bus because we were the only two French people among 40 tourists speaking English, Spanish or German. He did not neglect us, however... Among the highlights, two and a half hours of free time in Puerto de la Cruz.

This was a really good informative trip. I would advise people to take a warmer layer and a waterproof because the trip goes into higher villages. I couldn’t quite rate it excellent because we did not go to Oratava as advertised and I was particularly interested to see. That being said the trip was well paced and the guide adjusted to the weather conditions.
