We had a wonderful day visiting La Laguna, Taganana and Teresitas. We traveled in a small bus, with a great guide who could tell a lot about the island. The tour included a lot of free time to explore. This was perfect for us because we like to visit things on our own. The only downside to the tour is that we spend a lot of time in the bus picking up and dropping off other people at their hotels.

A long bus ride !!!

From the time we were picked up the driver incessantly told people to be quiet... no speaking sussh... He was quite abrupt in the manner of speaking to the clients on the trip. In total for an eight hour excursion we only had 1h30 free time. If you're not here I'll not wait for you. At the end of the trip the guide left the bus to return to his office, advising the clients not to fall asleep or they'd miss their stop. Inappropriate and disgraceful behaviour. Wouldn't recommend it.... Other clients on the trip were also very disappointed...

Too much bus time

I arrived in the morning at 8 at the meeting point and to my surprise a big bus was waiting for me. After around 2hrs of driving around in the south to all possible hotels to pick up other excursionists, we finally hit the road to go up north. The guide in the bus introduced every rock we saw alongside the road in 5 different languages. Once we arrived at La Laguna, we were freed up and sent into the village by ourselves to explore instead of the guide joining and explaining what we were seeing. The next destination was Taganana for which we had to go into the mountains and cross one forest. All this by bus... The highlight of the day was the place where we had lunch in Tanagana - Casa Africa - with fresh fish and the traditional potatoes. Lastly, we headed towards Las Teresita’s where we were given 20m to go and have pictures. Again no guide to join and explain the history of this artificial beach. Around 15:30 we headed back.
