Full description
Sail off the coast of southwest Tenerife on a 2-hour boat excursion looking for whales and dolphins. The boat departs from Puerto Colon, travelling 2 or 3 miles from the coast, where the pilot whales are often to be found. The beautiful sea mammals live permanently in the area, and are seen all year around. Sailing by catamaran, you will also pass by some fish-farms, where the clever dolphins are often looking for an easy meal. The crew are very knowledgeable about all the whales and Tenerife's other marine life. As you sail, you will also learn about the huge squids that can grow up to 40 feet (12 meters) in length, and live at depths of up to 2,600 feet (800 meters) between Tenerife and La Gomera. If you choose the 3-hour option the catamaran will stop in the bay of Playa Espagueti and you will be able to enjoy swimming and snorkeling off the boat.
  • Whale watching cruise
  • Free on board drinks, including water, soft drinks, and beer
  • Snorkeling set (if you choose the 3-hour option)

Everything was very nice, I saw two turtles and a lot of whales, even a baby whale. On the way I received a sandwich and many soft drinks. The team was very ok, they always made sure we had everything we needed (ps for the girls: the one leading the boat was very nice). They made sure to wear a mask and everything was extremely clean. I highly recommend!

Amazing experience worth every penny! All the instructions were crystal clear. After we met they photographed our group on the deck and went straight out of docks into the waters between Tenerife and La Gomera. They gave guidance about the deck policy and how to act when seasick. During our sail we saw pilot whales, group of dolphins feeding at school of fish and on our way back pilot whales family with baby ones too. The crew spoke fluent English and Spanish and they added a lot of interesting information about both dolphins and whales and their habits. They also were very respectful, always turned down the engine while close to the animals trying not to interfere with them and on the other hand gives us experience of seeing them from 2 meters distance. When we came back at the harbour they offered us printed photo from before.

We went first to see the dolphins and later the pilot whales and we managed to see quite a few. They offered us one drink per person at the beginning. I liked that the ship was not overcrowded. The only negative point is that the explanations were on the way back but with we couldn´t hear them well because of the wind. Overall the activity is worth it. It takes about one hour 45 min.
