    A dinner cruises on Yakatabune houseboats have a long tradition and are very popular throughout Japan, especially in Tokyo. See the nighttime skyline while enjoying a meal on the water for a one of a kind experience. The 2.5 to 3-hour cruise will usually take you from Shinagawa to Rainbow Bridge, Sumida River, Tokyo Skytree, and Odaiba. You can enjoy the panoramic views of Odaiba and Tokyo Skytree from the observatory deck on top of the boat and take memorable photographs.  On this cruise, enjoy high-quality dishes and the assistance of the friendly and helpful staff. Your dinner will consist of a 10 course meal of Japanese-style dishes, which are freshly prepared on that day. The courses include appetizers (shikidashi, vegetables, kobachi), a sashimi boat, fresh tempura, a seasonal rice dish, vegetables (konomono), salad, noodles (shime no men), and dessert. The dining room is fully air-conditioned and you can either sit at a table with chairs or at a low table over a hole in the floor.

    Great Japanese experience! If you and a group or couple want to enjoy a real Japanese meal in a nice boat book this! The experience was great, you boarded the boat and you have a reserved table inside with your name. You are sitting on the floor and served free drinks. The Japanese dinner was quite good, fresh tempura, sashimi, rice, cold noodles, and a small dessert. Great atmosphere to see Tokyo at night, the boat will stop and you can go up on the roof of the boat to take pictures. Expensive but well worth it!

    Everything was awesome, the only thing that I don't put a 5 stars on is that there was no english spoken at all ;( so it felt like we were missing on all the wonderful explanations. Still, the crew was super helpful and the overall experience was delightful and a "must do" in Tokyo!

    It was a 10 min drive from the New Sanno and easy to find via Google maps. We celebrated my husband’s birthday, and what made it extra special was the singing of happy birthday by a staff member and the thoughtful gift. I just emailed the guide via email to let him/her know that we were celebrating my husband’s birthday in advance.My husband and I loved the food (variety of delicious sashimi, tempura, and other traditional Japanese food). My kids didn’t eat much of the food because they are picky eaters, but they still LOVED the experience and rated it one of their top places in Japan. They especially loved going to the boat deck during the dinner cruise and enjoy the fresh breeze and views. There was a time the boat stopped near the sky tree to take pictures, and there were many opportunities to take pictures with our family with the rainbow bridge and the city at night. The breathtaking night views were amazing to capture a wonderful experience of Tokyo. My whole family had a blast!
